Risking



Ø  To try is to risk failure
Ø  To create is to risk criticism
Ø  To think is to risk creating unrealistic imagery
Ø  To decide is to risk regret
Ø  To dream is to risk dwelling in dreams
Ø  To determine is to risk challenges
Ø  To visualize is to risk being burdened
Ø  To persist is to risk giving up
Ø  Courage is to risk self-humiliation
Ø  To accept change is to risk your comfort zone
Ø  To set goals is to risk surrendering everything to the cause
Ø  To take a step is to risk missing the next one
Ø  To hope is to risk despair
Ø  To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
Ø  To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
Ø  To trust is to risk heart break
Ø  To apologize is to risk appearing defeated
Ø  To give is to risk lack
Ø  To lead is to risk being a servant
Ø  To love is to risk lovelorn
Ø  To succeed is to risk failing
Ø  To live is to risk dying
Ø  To be extraordinary is to risk hating your ordinary self
Ø  To risk nothing is to risk everything

Until you take the risk to discover, define, develop and deploy the real you, you are only living a half life. Chuck Yeager reminds us this, “You don’t concentrate on risks. You concentrate on results. No risk is too great to prevent the necessary job from getting done.”
The path without obstacles doesn’t lead anywhere important. It’s all about risks! A simple moment of understanding this can flood a whole life with meaning.
